Do You Keep ALL Your Books? | downsizing my book collection

An author I love shared a post on Twitter/Instagram lately, showing off her bookshelf in her new house. Yes, book SHELF, singular. And I saw that, and looked at my four (!!!!!) bookshelves, and kinda screamed.

Over the past year, I’ve gotten rid of about 50 books in total, but I still have a heck of a lot. I reckon about 2/3 of them are unread, which is an unbelievable amount – maybe nearing on 200 books in all.

YouTubers I’m Watching Right Now!

Hi everyone! So I’m watching a helluva lot of YouTube right now, and I thought I’d share some of the YouTubers I’ve been watching and loving ❤

Laura is such a down-to-earth, lovely girl, and she does fantastic videos all about Harry Potter! She also does a few videos where she just sits down and chats, and she’s definitely one of the most relatable YouTubers I follow and watch. She’s really funny, and her singing is also amazing! (I had her song 19 Years Later around my head for days!)

Emma is one of the first BookTubers I started watching, and I still watch her channel to this day! I love her videos, she has such enthusiasm, and she’s definitely one the reasons I started making videos of my own. She’s also the reason I read The Infernal Devices and The Mortal Instruments, so really, I have a lot to thank her for! She also has hecka awesome makeup. If you are looking for videos about books, and also some really good videos about mental health, definitely subscribe to her!

Zoe is another BookTuber who I adore! I actually started watching her videos after she uploaded a video about anxiety and depression. This is such a brave and inspirational thing to do, that I really just wanted to carry on supporting her. She’s the one who started off the reading for 24 hours craze a while back, and does great videos on these! She’s such a great, bubbly YouTuber, and her videos always brighten me!

So there are three YouTubers whose videos I have been watching all the time lately! If you watch YouTube and want to recommend me a channel (your own? ;P) then feel free to leave a comment below and let me know ❤

A Very Potter Primark & Book Haul!

Today I went shopping with my wonderful family as my brother is going to college, and what are two things I cannot resist? Ah, yes. Harry Potter, and books. And what am I confronted with? Results in a big oops I did it again… kind of situation.

I actually had a fantastic day, and I am so happy with the clothes, home-ware, and the books that I got! Here’s the books quickly below ;P

  1. Editing Emma by Chloe Seager
  2. Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare
  3. Autumn by Ali Smith

Just watch this YouTube video to see what I got from Primark!

I’m so excited to read Editing Emma because I’ve seen it around on Twitter so much, and I just had to join the hype! And I haven’t actually even read Lady Midnight, and I still have to read Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy and The Bane Chronicles before I can do that anyway! However, I wanted the special edition of Lord of Shadows, and it was £2 off, so y’know, why not. Also it has blue sprayed edges. Yaas. And finally I picked up Autumn because it was recommended to me, and it’s the Waterstone’s Book of the Month!

I’m going to be starting Editing Emma and Autumn in the next week, and hopefully I’ll get to Lord of Shadows by the end of the year! (Here’s hoping, anyway…)

Until the next time,
