The Rereadathon #1 | TBR

The Rereadathon has technically already started, but I figure it’s never too late to post a TBR!

The Rereadathon is running from the 10th – 16th August 2020, and you can participate by using the hashtag #therereadathon on socials!

Here are the reading challenges, and here are my choices…

  1. Reread a childhood favourite.
The Wreck of the Zanzibar by Michael Morpurgo.
  2. Reread a 2019 favourite.
The Red Scrolls of Magic by Cassandra Clare and Wesley Chu.
  3. Reread a book & rewatch the film.
    Black Beauty by Anna Sewell.
  4. Reread a book you hated.
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas (loved at the time, slowly disliked it).
  5. Reread a picture book/comic.
The Wish Cat by Raghild Scamell.
  6. Read a book you think you will want to reread in the future.
Heroes and Villains by Angela Carter.
  7. Reread a sequel.
A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas.

So that’s my TBR! What’s on your list?

INTRODUCING The Rereadathon!

Hello all! In today’s exciting post, I am introducing you to my new readathon: The Rereadathon! I’ve been starting to reread more books and go back to the things I love lately, and I wanted to share that simple joy with more people!

The Rereadathon is starting out on August 10th – 16th on Twitter! You can use the hashtag #therereadathon to join in, and make sure you are following the Twitter so you know what’s up!

There are 7 reading challenges and 7 photo challenges (one per day!) if you want to make your TBR following challenges. If not, just rereading books is enough!

Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon April 2020 | Wrap-Up

As predicted, I am terrible at 24 hour Readathons.

It’s like, I’m excited all week, and then it gets to the 24 hours and I find anything to do but reading. Instead, this readathon I found plenty of other things to do: mowing the lawn, getting a takeaway, watching a film, doing yoga, baking a cake, and making a bucket list. Also, sleeping. A lot.

My wrap up this readathon is: 300 pages of Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon! Whilst I wanted to read the whole book in the 24 hours, it’s still 300 more pages read than what I had at the beginning. So I count it as a success.

Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon April 2020 | Hour 10

The original plan (after I discovered there were no mini challenges) was to post every 6 hours (so every 1/4 of the way through) to update you guys.

Unfortunately, as always with me and Dewey’s, plans never really work out.

I have read to page 200, which I’m pretty proud of (214 in fact), even though the original plan was to read 400 today and 400 tomorrow.

Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon April 2020 | Hour One

It’s a new Readathon! I have participated in a few of these before but I feel like this one may be the first where I can just sit and read.

This round, I am trying to read just one book: Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon. It weighs in at a hefty 804 pages, so here’s hoping I can get at least some of the way through it. I’ll admit there isn’t much else going on…

TBR | O.W.Ls Magical Readathon 2020!

Hello all! It’s that time of year again – for the month of April, I, and many Witches and Wizards, will be taking my OWLs (or Ordinary Wizarding Levels for those Muggles out there). To learn more about it, head to this link. This readathon is run by the lovely BookRoast!

The OWLs work by the fact that you pick your career, and do the OWLs that are associated with it. This year, we also have the opportunity to do extra training! Me, being the extra person I am and also having 2 weeks of Easter holidays to fill, I have books for all 12 prompts.

Winter Biannual Bibliothon | Day 1 | snowdrift shenanigans

It’s the first day of the Winter BIBIB! This is one of my favourite readathons and I participate every round. You can see more on their YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter.

The first blog challenge is by Tracy @ Truffle’s Literary Wonders, and for a snappy title I’m going to call it the snowstorm challenge!

The idea of this one is to name 3 characters, 2 types of food/drink, and 1 song you’d want to have in a car with you during a snow storm.
