Pondathon II | the cutest readathon!

A couple of days ago, I discovered the Pondathon II, and I am here to tell you it is the CUTEST readathon ever and you totally need to join!

What is the Pondathon?

Pondathon II is a story-driven and gardening-themed readathon hosted and run by CW from The Quiet Pond. The aim of the Pondathon II readathon is to read books to earn plants and decorate your own little garden so that we can restore the forest together. More information about the readathon can be found here.

How it works

You get a little virtual terrarium – or part of the forest – that you can fill with flowers and plants and accessories as you read books. You simply need to sign up, then for every book you read, you fill in a Google form. Then CW sends you an accessory for that month! There’s also side quests you can complete for special things to add to your terrarium.

Information about Joining the Pondathon

  • You can sign-up to the Pondathon II readathon here. The readathon starts on January 10th 2022 and ends on December 11th 2022; sign-ups are open across the duration of the readathon.
  • You also get to create your own Pond animal character for the Pondathon, and create your own character card!

My Pond Character

SARIAH, Head Rose Gardener

Sariah is a little ginger cat that can’t get enough of roses! Whether it’s wearing them in her hair, decorating her cottage, or cultivating them in all gardens big and small, she loves the scent, colours, and even the thorns of all her beloved roses. Any other flowers wilt at her touch – she is the opposite of green fingered – but roses flourish!

Okay but HOW CUTE?! CW has made little character accessories to make your own character, and I made my character card for free on Canva!

I can’t wait to start building my terrarium and just had to share this readathon with all of you. If you want to keep up to date with my reading, follow me on Instagram! I’ll be posting my terrarium on there, and of course sharing it with you at every monthly wrap up!
