2020 Reading Goals

It’s been a hot minute since I last posted – June, apparently. But I want to get back into blogging in 2020, because I love it and I miss it so much.

Today I thought I’d share with you my 2020 goals for reading and this blog! Last year, I read 53 books in total, which, considering how busy I was, I think is pretty good. I want to read about the same this year, as my TBR is constantly getting bigger!

Goal 1: Complete my Goodreads Challenge!

My challenge this year is 52 books – that’s one book for every week of the year. So far, we are two weeks in, and I am on track!

Goal 2: Save £1 for every book I read.

The idea of this one is that I can then only use that money to buy books… yeah, that’s failed drastically already, so I might start this one afresh from now on!

Goal 3: Blog!

My blogging schedule is going to be: book review on a Sunday (like always) and a bookish post on Tuesday! I might throw in some extra posts here and there, but those are the ones I want to keep up with.

Goal 4: Sort out my books.

I’m moving back home in September, so I really need to sort out my books. Whilst my parents are giving me the office to use as my office (as the plan is to start teacher training!), I’m still not sure there’s enough room in there!

Goal 5: fall back in love with reading.

I’m not sure, really, what happened last year but I think it’s because my reading list for university is so damn big, I got so frustrated with reading in general. If you didn’t know, I am doing Crime Fiction MA, and our reading list is like 10-15 books per three week rotation – that is a lot of books, and to be honest, I didn’t like all of them. It’s hard to keep up with, but I’m going to try and take more time for reading for pleasure this year and enjoy it a lot more.

Those are my goals for 2020 – what are yours?
