Hey folks! I wrapped up university this weekend, and I thought that, instead of writing a long discussion post having just written thousands of words for uni, I would have a bit of fun and do a book tag instead! I found this tag over at Browsing for Books, where it’s an original tag by Ariel in association with Cerys, who runs the blog.
Hot Chocolate: recommend a book that’s sweet through and through!
Considering I’ve spent the past four months almost solely reading crime novels, this one has been pretty tricky, so I cast my mind back to summer and came up with Save the Date by Morgan Matson. It’s such a great read!
Peppermint Mocha: the taste of peppermint overpowers everything else – recommend a book with strong emotions
Hot Milk by Deborah Levy has to be my pick for this one. It’s a book that discusses mother/daughter relationships, doing things for yourself, and raises profound questions about love and life.
Apple Cider: it’s so good it can’t be good for you – recommend a book with a character who has questionable morals
I have a lot of books for this one, but I’ll go with Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. If you’ve only watched the film, I recommend the book because Flynn’s writing style is amazing.
Eggnog: creamy, smooth, with a little spice and sometimes alcohol – recommend a book that’s mostly fun with a hint of danger
Ooh I have the perfect recommendation for this one – Things A Bright Girl Can Do by Sally Nicholls. It’s a fantastic book about suffragists fighting for women’s right to vote, and I highly recommend it, it’s brilliant.
Gingerbread Latte: spices galore! – recommend a book with a lot of action
Whilst I have yet to finish the trilogy (which I reaaally want to do!), I absolutely recommend Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor. It has such an interesting premise and if you’re a fan of fantasy, you’ll love it!
I hope you enjoyed today’s post, and perhaps even got a recommendation out of it! Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve just finished this semester and fancy a nap…

Thanks so much for doing my tag!
I really enjoyed it! 🙂
