Series I Want to Read This Christmas | blogmas day 14

Whilst I want to tackle my TBR (oh, and unhaul a whole bunch of books), I want to take this Christmas to both revisit and discover some awesome book series. I have about four weeks of Christmas holidays, but I will be working on uni work and of course Christmas is always a busy time of the year anyway, but here’s what I’d like to read!

Harry Potter by JK Rowling

I try and reread this series every year, but I’ve only ever managed to get up to book 5, Order of the Phoenix, so this year I would really like to read all 7!

The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare

I haven’t read this series since 2015, I think, and I really want to go back to the trilogy. They’re quite long books – over 500 pages on average – but there are only three of them, so I think with some long nights of reading ahead of me, I may well be able to tackle this one.

Now, this is the first series on this list that I haven’t read yet. I have the first two books in the series, and if you saw yesterday’s post, you’ll know that I’m planning on buying the third pretty soon so I can just marathon this series, probably in January.

I really would like to take this Christmas to relax and recharge, so whilst I’ll probably read some standalones, I would love to at least read Harry Potter and the Dark Artifices, or at least the first book, Lady Midnight, of the latter. Hopefully I’ll manage to get to all of them, but I’m not too bothered if I don’t! I can’t wait to spend time with my family and friends!

Are there any series you want to read/reread this Christmas?

  1. I’m planning on reading Half-Blood Prince & the last two books in The Dark Artifices before the end of the year, but based on my reading plans this is wishful thinking on my part.
