Turning the Page #8 | when was the last time I did one of these again?

Turning the Page is a weekly meme hosted by yours truly. In it, I talk about what I read during the week with a Tweet-sized review, and what I’m planning on reading next week, as well as what you might’ve missed on the blog. You’re very welcome to join in if you’d like! Just make sure to link back.

So the last time I did one of these was the 30th September – aka two weeks ago. I decided not to do monthly wrap ups, although they may make a come back cause I kinda like them… but anyway, what I post here will be what I’ve read in the past two weeks!

This week I read…

  • 39300354Lord Arthur Savile’s Crime by Oscar Wilde – I thought that this was a really funny book, and it was so short which was an added bonus!
  • The Moonstone by Wilkie Collins – do I have a new book on my favourites list? Maybe. This was FANTASTIC, and such a brilliant detective novel! Read for uni.
  • Death in the Spotlight by Robin Stevens – can I scream my love for this series any more? I was lucky enough to MEET Robin Stevens this week too, and I’ll try and do a blog post about that soon!
  • The Postman Always Rings Twice by James M Cain – another read for my course. Despite the fact the protagonist is a murderer, never have I wanted two people to live happily ever after together more.

I’ve realised that all four of the books I read this week have focussed around murder… okay, I’m not obsessed, I swear.

Next week I want to read…

  • 39727785The Price Guide to the Occult by Leslye Walton – I’m currently reading this, and of course want to finish it this week.
  • Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie – I actually read this over the summer, and it featured in my first Turning the Page post! BUT I’m studying it for my course, so would like to reread it, although because I read it so recently I’m not sure.
  • In a Lonely Place by Dorothy B Hughes – another one for my degree.

On the blog…

There has been loads on the blog! Check it out:
